I just updated to version 1.55. Somehow iJournal found the id and password for an old username that I don't use anymore, and has adopted that as the default. That means that every time I open iJournal I have to go to the Login As option and tell it to change users.

How can I change this option so that iJournal selects the correct username automatically?

that happened to me too.. i went into the keychain and removed that user and password.. seemed to just use my current name since I did that.

Thansk, this has done the trick. That account was so old I didn't even realize it would be in the keychain!

This seems to be mentioned often enough that I, or anyone else that gets a chance, should probably make an option to delete old accounts from the login sheet.

The suggestion about deleting it from the keychain would likely fix the problem. If not that, then deleting the preference file would (the older versions would use the preference file for the user accounts, the newer versions use the keychain).
