Ack. I hope this doesn't end up being the default. :( The whole brushed metal thing bothers me to no end. First Apple stated in the guidelines that the brushed metal thing should only be used for apps that interface with physical devices (ie. MP3 players, cameras, etc), but then they use it the Address Book? Ugh.

Ah... but the address book can talk to phones now.

Have you seen this yet? I haven't tried it yet, since I don't have Jaguar, but apparently it can de-metal cocoa applications.

I really hope that's done using one of those little brushed-metal-toggler tools that have sprung up, and not a default we can't turn off without such a tool.

One of the reasons I use Audion (still waiting for an iJ update to acknowledge the fact that Audion 3 can now give you the band name...) rather than iTunes is that it doesn't lock me into that stupid brushed metal interface.

In fact, I use 'Goldberg' instead of Preview and Quicktime Player, so my Mac is pretty much brushed-metal free, which makes me happy...

Okay, I take it back. That actually looks kinda nifty.

But, please, Apple! Let it be an option: don't lock us into brushed metal doom...

I thought we were Aqua, not Steel? :(
