Friends group bug?

Odd... I've just created a separate group in my Custom Friends section. When I use the iJournal Friends view to check, it shows some of my friends, both in the "In Group" section and the "Not In Group" section.

What gives? I don't want to make any posts that the wrong people (or at least, the people I don't want to know) can read.

You created the group from the website, or from within iJ?

I didn't even know I could make custom groups on the website.

I made the group using the win98 client on my win98 box. It was fine there. Later on, when I was using my Tibook to post, I decided to double-check the group and noticed the problem in iJournal.

The Windows Visions client versions 1.4.6 and earlier has a bug regarding friends groups.

Go to http://www.livejournal.com/friends/editgroups.bml , edit your friends groups to the proper people, and then you should be fine. (Just don't edit them again with version 1.4.6 and earlier of the Visions client.)

Thanks for the clue. This needs to go in a FAQ or something somewhere.

Actually, we're in the process of totally revamping LJ client support on the support board -- expect an email from me within the next few days, as I'm going to be the temporary admin of client support :)

Thanks for your help. Sorry for impugning your client, Cryo. As a Mac user, I should have realized that virtually all problems can and should be blamed on Windows...
