when i load ijournal i get a prompt for a username and password
even though i told it to log in automatically
whats worse is that there's usernames in there that i've never used before
and i know no one here has used them because no one here uses lj
how do i get rid of those other usernames from the list?

That is really strange. What are those usernames, if I may ask?

As for fixing it, try trashing the prefs. If you have the latest version, then the preference file will be in the Preferences Folder of you Library folder with the name "com.warped.iJournal.plist"

my account 'eskander' is there with the pass saved
my old account 'pendants_child' is there (i just realized it was my old one, but i've never updated from ijournal to that account)
and the third one is song_lyrics or something which isn't mine at all, dunno how it got there
on top of that the only pass thats saved is eskander's

By any chance did you just upgrade to 10.3.3? I noticed that Keychain and iJournal were wonky after I upgraded.

I got nervous and just trashed iJournal and it's .plist. Will re-install in a day or two.

The only thing I saw was that it asked to upgrade the keychain access for iJournal. Clicked yeh, and it worked fine for me. Unable to duplicate with user names appearing that I have never used though. Anyone else?

Not having the SAME problem, but I did just notice on my desktop machine at work (still 10.3.2) that I've got "save password" checked, but it always comes up blank and I have to type the password. Pretty sure I've got 1.54 on there, just downloaded a week or so ago.

You should be able to get rid of the extra accounts by deleting them in the Keychain Access app (in /Applications/Utilities/). I don't think deleting iJournal's preferences will help, since as far as I know it shouldn't be loading a list of usernames/passwords from the .plist anymore, since it was changed to use the Keychain.

Ideally yes, but it will try loading from both. Thus, if there are any old ones stored in the plist then they will still be showing up.

got rid of the plist, but they're still there :\

I guess you will have to delete the keychain entry, then, as suggested in the above comment.

I don't know why that would be happening..
