Does the non-ASCII encoding bug still exist ?

I will try the new version from home tonight (chained to a PC here), but I have noticed that accented characters and sometimes a few following characters would disappear and be replaced by "/" and/or other characters. A simple case would be putting a Spanish "~n" in the headline.
