offline posts not being saved :(

I made a long post during a plane trip and had planned to save it, then submit it once I got home. Well, going to "Journal -> Save Entry" results in the bottom status bar showing "Saving Archive...", but it actually doesn't appear to save anything. When quitting iJournal, it didn't prompt me that I had unsaved changes. There wasn't a corresponding "*.ljarchive" file in the iJournal folder. I'm guessing there isn't any other way to restore the post? Sigh.

P.S. I am using iJournal version 1.77.

When you tried to save, did it prompt you for a location and file name?

If not, that sounds like a bug in that version (I have a version from a later development branch and the feature works there).

It did not prompt me. I could try with the development branch version and see. Can you point me to where the source/release is?

There is no official release of it yet but the sources can be acquired from sourceforge.net under the iJournal project's DEVEL_1 branch or I could E-Mail you the binary that I use (universal binary, by the way).

There are several features that don't work since few of us are working on this but I could probably be encouraged to fix up some parts of it if you have an interest in pointing out a few things that you, personally, need.

I just mainly wish for saving to work when ijournal is not able to log into the lj server (i.e. when offline). I will be glad to help test this. I'll try and get the sources working, otherwise I'll get your binary. :)

I'm getting an undefined symbol error when trying to compile with Xcode tools. Maybe I'll go ahead and take that pre-built one you have. :)

Remember, this is an unofficial build and is early in development so we can't officially fix bugs that we find in it. If you have some specific issues and I have the time to tackle them, I can give it a try, though: iJournal DEVEL_1 (10.4 universal binary)

There does appear to be a problem in the build settings, as they stand, so I had to twiddle them a bit to make it link properly. That is something else which I will need to fix.

Make sure to Report a Bug/Feature Request/Enhancement so that this can be followed.

Do I use the bugzilla system linked from the wiki or the sourceforge bug tracking system?
