Limit on length of password?

Hiya!

I used iJournal for about a week, and it absolutely rocked - hard enough to make me switch from what I was using.

Then I changed my password to something long (over 10 characters) and hard to break. I can still post to my LJ from Flickr, XJournal, and LJ itself - but not from iJournal. Every time I try to log in, it asks me for my password.

Again.

And again.

And again.

And then I give up, and use another client, and everything is fine.

Does iJournal only transmit passwords up to a certain length? This is the only thing I can think off, off the top of my head. iJournal is so superior to everything else that I'd really like to go back to using it.

Or perhaps your old password is "stuck" in the client. Try opening your keychain and deleting the LiveJournal password iJournal probably stored in there, or look for an iJournal prefs file and delete that.

I never ever save passwords in my keychain. Tried deleting prefs. Didn't work.

Does your password have something besides alpha-numerics in it? I had a password with an '&' in it once, and iJournal had a hissy fit.

Interesting. This should be in a bug report...

Is it == or longer than 32 characters?
Does it have any special characters in it?

Shorter than 32 characters, all alphanumeric.

For further info:
Deleted preferences: still no joy.
Deleted and reinstalled iJournal: still no joy.
I would think that the problem lay between keyboard and chair, but I am manually entering my password into the website directly and into XJournal after I fail with iJournal, and I have no problems doing either. While it is theoretically possible that I am mis-keying my password or user name every time I do it in iJournal, and never in these other options, I think that's unlikely.

Yeh, I don't think this is a you issue :) ... more likely the encrypting process of the password is barfing. I'll run some testing tonight and see if I can replicate this.

I've opened http://bugzilla.warped.com/show_bug.cgi?id=30

I've had the same problem from the beginning, and my password is short and unexciting, so I don't think it's just her.

I've seen this behaviour too (just tonight, it happens). Tried logging into my
LJ, no dice. Tried a few times, no dice. Tried another LJ, went right through.
Quit iJournal, run it again, this time it works.

I'm in the same boat, my password is less than 10 char, random. Also, it's been happening all along, including in the 1.79 debug version.
