Just a quick note to anybody who was dismayed that iJournal was suddenly brushed metal under Jaguar -- Metallifizer from Unsanity works to give it the standard application UI again.

Excellent! Thanks for the tip. I'd never heard of Unsanity, but I really don't much care for the brushed metal look of iJournal. Hooray for haxies.

I really consider their "FruitMenu" product to be one of the most useful apps I've got for OSX, even if it's just a $7 shareware 'haxie'. :)

WindowShadeX is also a great, great, great haxie from unsanity. :)

Weirdly, I *never* got into using the windowshade function, even in OS9, so I don't really miss it.

I think if you get a current iJournal build from CVS, it doesn't have the brushed metal look under Jaguar (at least the build I have doesn't).

just open up the .nib file in interface builder, and uncheck the "textured window" option on the main window. that should work, unless it was somehow implemented programatically (which i doubt)
