Make sure the password is correct. I just opened up iJournal and typed in a quick test post, then changed my password before trying to submit it, and that was the exact error I got.

You can enter the proper password by doing 'Journal->Login As' in iJournal.

So you have a weird problem for a month and finally instead of trying to fix it you ask what the cause could be, but then decide to call it "crap" in the midst of the developers? Yeah, there's a great way to get help.

erm ...
He's an end-user, he isn't a developer ... I used to be a developer ...

It seems to me some people take things a little personally around here.

This place should be an open forum for feedback, discussion and opinions of all sorts on iJournal.

If all you want is pats on the back for perfect software (there is no perfect software, as you know ...), or if you want end-users to fix the problems they are encountering, when they don't know how to (including me, as I am not versed at all in the code this was written in), then perhaps this should only be a community for developers.

I don't mean that harshly; it just seems to me that you came down a little harshly on that newbie, and I don't think he said anything that was out of line. Just general frustration over something he couldn't get to work properly; it wasn't meant as a slap in the face to anyone at all.

Are you able to post from your computer using other clients, and reliably connect to the website from your computer? Those errors are generally caused by an inability to connect to the server, which is a lot more common for users with free accounts.

Other possible causes are a misconfigured proxy server or bad data in your entry (although I've only seen that with broken lj-poll tags.)
