The keyboard shortcut to post a link: command-L
The keyboard shortcut to log in/log out: command-shift-L

If you accidentally hit the shift when you mean to bring up the post-link dialog, you're stuck, with no way to save the entry you've been working on. Many entries have been lost thanks to this unfortunate similarity in the shortcuts.

So, please please please, in a future version: consider either changing the shortcuts around to where they are not so similar, or adding an escape from the log in/log out popup.

Please and thank you.

This has been resolved in the current code-base but an official release hasn't been made yet. In this new version the post is saved when you log out, post, or every minute if you turn on that feature. The post is restored whenever you log in. It is cleared from memory whenever you successfully post or choose "New Post".

If you want, I can create a build for you tonight and send you a link.

Very very nice! Thank you.

I just gave it a quick test run, so I'll probably have more to say about it later.

Unless you're the lucky one in a million who got some faulty OS coding - when you hit command shift L it comes up with a dialog box that asks you if you really want to log out, or you can hit cancel.

BZZZZZ! Sorry, wrong answer Sparky. It comes up with "log in" or "QUIT." There is no cancel option at present. (See previous comment.)

Apparently you're the one with the issues, dearie.

...then you have some ISSUES that go far beyond a shortcut key being able to help you with.

roosterbear was asking for me. I was the one that was asking, because I was the one that was having problems.

Secondly, the box that I get when I hit Command-Shift-L brings up a dialog box that says Quit or Login, both of which erase the current entry I was working on. No escape function is present.

Thirdly, some of us use more than one computer application on different platforms on any given day, so the mistake of using an incorrect key command isn't too difficult to fathom.

But gee thanks, your input was just... enlightening.

I don't think that this iJournal works with Panther. I type in my username/pass

and it just freezes.
